According to police, Mary Golding, 34, was found fatally stabbed inside her home on 41st Street near 19th Avenue in Astoria during the early hours of Tuesday morning. Authorities responded to the residence at approximately 12:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a disturbance.

When officers arrived, they discovered Golding unconscious with a stab wound to her back. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene but were unable to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the residence.
